Step into our vibrant paint room - a creative space where energy, and imagination literally collide. Each guest is provided with protective gear, googles and a blank canvas, so don't hold back. Whether you're her to paint with a purpose or just enjoy the chaos of creativity this is your space to express, unwind and make something uniquely yours.

Brush Hour
$50 per person for 50 minutes
Welcome to the paint room where the only rule is to get messy and have a blast! Each guest is geared up with a protective suit, googles, 8 vibrant paint colors and a blank canvas - or maybe just use your friends. Go big Picasso, with 50 minutes of color chaos.

Smash Rooms
What will I be smashing?Expect things like dishes, bottles, glassware, electronics, furniture and more!Can I take videos?Absolutely! We encourage pictures, videos and social media posts before, during and after your session.Do I have to wear the gear? Yes, for your safety you must wear the gear and closed toe shoes.Do you provide shoes or boots? No unfortunately you'll need to bring your own.What if I don't want to participate can I still be in the room? No, smashers only in the rooms during the sessions. Worried you'll miss out on the action; don't worry you can watch from the tv outside of the smash room.Do you take walk-ins? Sessions are booked online-this helps us make sure we've got exactly what you want to break!
Paint Room
What should I wear? We've got you covered but it will get messy. The paint is not guaranteed to wash out-so wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting splattered. We do provide protective gear, including poncho or coverall, shoe covers, goggles and hair covers. Do you have a place I can clean up after? No, the protective gear will do its best, but maybe bring a towel for after and in your car. Can I take my canvas home? Yes, your canvas is yours to keep. Is the paint safe? Yes, we use non-toxic, washable paint that's safe for skin. Can I take pictures? Absolutely! We encourage pictures, videos and social media posts before, during and after your session. What if I don't want to participate can I still be in the room? No, artists only in the rooms during the sessions. Worried you'll miss out on the action; don't worry you can watch from the tv outside of the paint room. Can I bring my own paint or canvas? To maintain safety and consistency, we don't allow outside paint or materials.
Scream Room
Do I have to scream? Not at all! You can use the space however you need-scream, vent, talk, practice a speech, sing, cry, dance, meditate. It's your private reset room. Can I go in with someone else? The scream room is designed for solo use, but if you'd like to book back-to-back sessions with a friend or partner, you're welcome to. Will I be on video/tv like the other rooms? Nope, this is your space and nobody is watching.
Our Story
The Break Room was founded by Kristin Cutler and Kerry Lyons, two lifelong Vermonters with a love for community, creativity, and good old-fashioned stress relief. The idea sparked during a 2024 Father’s Day trip to Foxwoods, where their family stumbled across a smash room—and had a blast. On the drive back home, they realized that northern Vermont needed a space like this too.Instead of buying into a franchise, Kristin and Kerry decided to build something local and original. They traveled across the country, visiting other smash rooms, learning the ropes, and shaping a concept that felt right for their community, and it keeps all the revenue right here in Vermont. Their mission? To give individuals and groups a safe, fun way to release their energy.We’re proud to offer something a little different—a place to let go, be loud, get messy, and feel better when you leave than when you walked in.
